Product Description

Single crystal diamond CVD (chemical vapor deposition) is produced using a process where carbon-containing gases are decomposed under controlled conditions, forming a single crystal diamond layer on a substrate. This material is renowned for its exceptional hardness and thermal conductivity, making it ideal for industrial and scientific applications including cutting tools, heat spreaders, and optical components.

CVD Single Crystal Diamond Properties

CVD diamond contains no metal catalysts, giving it thermal stability comparable to natural diamond. Its grains are arranged isotropically without brittle cleavage planes, similar to high pressure polycrystalline diamond.

Using microwave plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition (MPACVD), carbon-containing gas is broken down to generate plasma, enabling homoepitaxial growth in the 100, 110 and 111 directions of type IIb diamond seed crystals.
